THANKS VERY MUCH to the many visitors who've posted comments here.
To our NEW VISITORS: please browse the entries below and take a moment to leave some information about yourself, YOUR EMAIL (!!!!!), etc!!
You have no idea how much pleasure your father's books have brought my family. We have donated them to a couple of libraries. I have mine at my fingertips and refer to them often. They are well documented. My husband and I are both attorneys, and I cannot tell you how valuable these books are because of their precision. Several members of my family own their own set.
Just checking the families out!
I welcome any contact from the clan, I also collect granite rocks from all over the world so if anyone has any small samples are welcome.
Thanks to Scott who has already sent some to me. Maybe one day I can get over to Virginia
Connected with your pages through a link from a contributor of my own pages which I am creating at Augusta State University (to showcase graduates of the art program at ASU.) One of the graduates, Lillian Wan, wrote and photographed the filming of the Pamplin documentary last year in Augusta,GA. Lillian and I both work at Reese Library on the ASU campus. I graduated from Augusta College in 1975 when the Reese Library was newly built as the result of a generous donation from Katherine Reese Pamplin, but did not know much about the Pamplin family. To test a troublesome home internet connection, I have been exploring your pages, and am overwhelmed with the information that many people at ASU either already know, or take for granted. The influence and generosity of the Pamplin family contributes much to the development of a more positive world, and I am anxious to learn more about it.
My website project is a personal undertaking which is still in its initial stages, but I am hoping to contact all graduates of the visual arts program at Augusta College and Augusta State University to "catch up" on their creative activities and show examples of their work. The art program is part of the Katherine Reese Pamplin College of Arts and Sciences, and I hope my efforts will generate renewed interest in the visual arts on campus.
Dear Bill
Thank you so much for this wonderful Site. In South Africa we have Pamplin Families who are currently doing research work regarding our origins. I hope to have more information next time. Namibia have Pamplin families as well.( I was just thinking about it now). Maybe someone will respond from that country.
Regards

Looks good! - Hasta la vista, baby!!

I am always overwhelmed with how many Pamplin's there are! Here in New Zealand, we are just about all related to each other, so as you can guess, there are not very many. We believe that we are related to the British link rather than the American link - my great-grandfather however, was Canadian! I love this site and have made some new 'friends' that could also be relatives! I enjoy reading about where you are all from!
Thank you Robert Pamplin for your generous gifts to Virginia Tech. The business school is quickly becoming one of the best in the nation and you are a key supporter of the college. I only hope one day I could be as generous an advocate for our great school as you have been. Thank you again.

I am also a Pamplin. I am searching for my family history. My grandfather's name was Houston Frank Pamplin. He died about 5 years ago. I have been searching for some lost family members. If you have any information on them please send me a message. Any help would be great. Charles Pamplin was his fathers name. So I hope that helps anyone who needs the information. Please give me the help I need. Thank you so much.
I am the wife of Robert E Pamplin Sr. (son of Frank Houston Pamplin) in Fountain Hill Arkansas. We have four children, all married with kids of there own. we would love to here from any of you
Looking for a Nancy Pamplin that married William Vaughan. They lived in Halifax Co. Va. in the early 1800's. Any help please. Lonnie
I had no idea there were so many other Pamplins!
I've enjoyed finding several cousins that have contacted me through my message board.
My Grandmother was Maude Spain Jones, her mother was Nannie Pamplin Eppes, she was a sister to John Robert Pamplin.
I know the name PAMPLIN is very rare, and I always wanted to know were my name originates. So any information would be great. THANK YOU.
Hi there! I'm from the UK., (Cornwall, although my relatives hail from Essex and Kent). I am amazed to see so many references to the name Pamplin on the web, and frankly astonished to stumble across this site. I had always believed that we lived in relative isolation. I don't know of any other Pamplin's apart from my immediate family. I was particularly surprised to find such a prominent branch of the family in the USA. Nice to see they've done so well! I understood that my branch of the family arrived from the Basque region around the time of the reformation, as refugees from the persecution of early Protestants in central Europe. Apparently, they came to the UK as a result of Henry VIII's split with the church of Rome, feeling that they would be safe from persecution here. I have little evidence to back this up, however, and would welcome any information from anyone out there who could shed any further light on this.
Many thanks, Great to meet you all!
Thank You for this site. My father is Joe Pamplin, Jr., and he was born in Mississippi to Wilford Joseph Pamplin, Sr.. I'm in the process of finding out my grandfather's parents' names. I've been told that his family moved to Mississippi from Arkansas. I often wonder how many cousins I have there. I'm very interested in the history of my family for my children. Though they don't have a big interest in it, now, I know someday they will. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to delve more into our history.
From the Essex (U.K.) branch. Have family tree going back to William Pamplin born 1674 in Halstead Essex. My understanding, perhaps incorrect, is that originally two different men from Navarre/Basque region came to England around 1300 as metal workers. There are thus two unrelated groups of Pamplins/Pamphlins (and other variations of the name) around both in U.K. and overseas. If any of you Pamplins are likely to be in N. Riding area call me on 01751 460316 (UK)
I wonder why none of the xxx and xxx some of our relatives are known to have engaged in is never mentioned in writing. Of course I know. Because good people aren't proud of those behaviors. Let's continue to talk about those who have brought honor to the Pamplin name.
Don't confuse me with the Robert B. Pamplin, who lives in Portland Oregon. I live in West Covina California with my wife and four children.
My maternal grandmother was Mary Emogene (sp?) Mays. My maternal grandfather was Urban Davis Franklin. I have been looking for familial information whenever I get some free time to play on my computer. Can anyone help me? Sincerely, Julia Vaughne

Hi everybody. It's nice to find all this information about the Pamplin family. I too am part of the Pittsburgh, Pa family. My grandfather was Maurice Pamplin. I was always told that our family originated from a man of Italian descent who married an American Indian woman. Because his family did not approve of the marriage, he was disowned and forced to change his name. I have no documentation on this, only word of mouth from my great-aunts and great-uncles. Not that I don't believe this story, but I would like more details. Does anyone know their full names, have any pictures and/or dates of these events. Also, if he was forced to change his name, what was his real last name? Whatever the case, I look forward to hearing from you all. Have a great day. :-)

This web site is highly enviable and gives me insight into what my family may do. We have 12 generations in the Americas, and will be looking at our 400th anniversary in just over a score of years. I've recently visited the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier Park and was very pleased at the accomplishment and dignity achieved. Thank you.
Hello, I am from the Fayetteville, Tennessee branch of the family.
Hello, I would just like to say that I am a Junior at the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. I am the proud recipient of a few scholarships in the name of R.B. Pamplin. He, his son, and his family have helped make the business college at Virginia Tech what it is today.
Happy Holidays
Have only now begun to look at the Pamplins in my family. Would be interested in any information on Pamplins in Wales. Mt grandmother was born in Port Talbot and her father in Cardiff. It is likely that they came from Devon or Cornwall as there were great work connections between the two. Would welcome any contact.
I looked up this website looking for some information on the Pamplins. Thinking they would reside or at least have history that started from Virginia, I was surprised to hear or see of some other Pamplins. Its very interesting the Pamplin tree. Maybe somewhere down the line we all could be related. I am still searching.
Just signing in and reviewing the information. Great site and interesting information.
Hello Bill Pamplin, I was wondering if you could pass this message on to Rosa for me? I would be very grateful.
Hello Rosa Lee, guess what my name is Rosa Pamplin too. I didn't know there was another one, how exiting. How old are you Rosa? I am 16, I wonder if we have anything in common. Maybe you could e-mail me back, preferably you or another member of the Pamplin famiy. Where do you live? I live in London, England. I hope you speak english and can understand my message! Do you have any children? I go to college, I study psychology, sociology, french and english lit. What is your profession? Do you think we could be related? Are you by any chance connected to the british throne?
Well it was nice contacting you Rosa, please reply soon.
Yours Sincerely Rosa Pamplin x

Researching Wilsons of Charlotte, PEC, VA. James and Elizabeth (Pamplin) Hamlett Sr.'s daughter Elizabeth married Nathaniel Wilson (Bible record). I am interested in anyone with information on this family.
Hello! My great grandmother was Ellen Pamplin later changed to Ellen McCown after marriage to my great grandfather, Ferd McCown. Ellen was a relative of Lily May Pamplin but I can't remember how right now. We have had the book "The Scamps of Bucksnort" in my family for a long time. My great uncle Charlie McCown is mentioned in the book and also if my memory serves me right, so is Ferd McCown. They are all from Fayetteville and/or Skinem, TN.

I'm researching my wife's ancestors matriarchal line. Her GGG Grandmother is Mary Jane Pamplin which I found confirming info on GenForum. Our search at this time is confined to VA where my wife grew up. The Counties are Appomattox, Charlotte, Prince Edward, Buckingham and Nelson.
The Shaniko site is interesting. The earlier site had a broader appeal by having the history and interesting links on the front page. I found this to be very helpful. I was able to connect with people likle Debbie at the Sage and the gentleman who developed the video tapes. These were terrific contacts. The history of the town and its people struck me as the central theme. It is always facinating to learn of the current Pamplin enterprises and excapades both past and present. My great great grandfather was a Cherokee Indian named "BuckSnort Thomas". He worked at a sawmill in Arkansas. According to local newspaper clippings, while sitting astride a mule, he got into a verbal disagreement with another man who was also on mule back. As the story goes Bucksnort shot the man in the thigh severing the large artery which resulted in the man's death. Also as the story goes Bucksnort darted between his Arkansas Family and the Cherokee Indian Reservation in Oklahoma. I'm looking for any information that may shed light on his final years......
Related to the Tennessee Pamplins.
Wicked awesome site dude, totally radical.

I am a Jean family researcher. James Monroe Jean and Louisa Pamplin's family are covered in one of your dad's books. The question that I, and a lot of other Jean researchers, have is where your father came up with the name Alcy Littleton as being James Monroe's mother. No one has been able to connect the surname Littleton to Alcy. Any documented source would be a great aid to the Jean family research. Thank you.
Guess we'll need to dig into our records for this one: I'll reply to you directly.

I am a graduate of the Pamplin College of Business' MBA Program at Virginia Tech. I am so grateful to Robert and Bob Pamplin for all they have done for the college. I am involved with the Pamplin MBA Advisory Board (the only thing I have to give is my time, not much money right now!). I am looking forward to attending the ceremony this Friday at which time Mr. Pamplin will receive his honorary degree from VT. The support of the Pamplin family has allowed the college to come very far, and we are very appreciative of their generosity.
My grandfather was Alfred Austin Pamplin, Everyone called him Pat. Don't know much about his family. I would like to find out if anyone has any information about them. He was from the Arkansas area.
If you are interested: we have TWO Alfred Pamplins and four Austin Pamplins listed in our NAME INDEX: of "The Pamplin Family & Connections".

I would like to receive more information on Pamplin College of Business. I have always wanted to attend a business college to major in accounting. I would like for the faculty to email me more information. Maybe Pamplin College of Business will be on my top 10 percentile of the colleges I would like to attend. Thanks.
This may be a duplicate entry. I am particularly interested in the Armistead/Lucy Ligon Pamplin branch.
I was born in London, Ontario, Canada. My parents are William (Bill) Pamplin and Janet Van den Dungen.
I collaborated with Mr. William E. Pamplin, Jr., in the l980's in producing the two Pamplin history volumes, he providing the factual data and I writing the continuity, creating the overall design of the book, and typing the manuscript. After the publisher got through photographing the pages for reproduction and binding, the manuscript was returned to me. I am at the age and stage where I am getting rid of a lot of excess baggage I have been packing away for the past several aeons, and this manuscript will be among the things tossed, unless somebody expresses an interest in having it. You can e-mail me, or write me at 548 Hampden Road, Upper Darby, PA l9082.
Dear Martha,
It was my father you worked with: I am William E. Pamplin, III. He spoke of you
often and mentioned more than once how very helpful you were: I'm sure he couldn't have accomplished the work he did without you!
We have received the
manuscripts late this week: they were added to our other Pamplin family
research archives.
Warmest regards,

Hello, My name is Mark Petry and I live in Augusta, GA. I belong to an Antique Automobile club here. Several of our club's members (including me) had their classic cars in the movie "A Separate Path to Glory". I am interested in purchasing a copy of the film. I am looking for relatives of Fredrick John Pamplin: occupation printer in the London/Essex area of the UK. Died 1940/1950
My great-grandmother was Nannie E. Spain, nee Pamplin, of Lunenburg and Dinwiddie Counties in Virginia.
Hi! I'm the granddaughter of Christopher Alfred Pamplin, born in London in 1888, died in Vancouver, Canada in 1985. He came to Canada in 1908. I do have (somewhere!) the names of his parents - will send them when I've rooted them out. His daughter (and my mother) is Margaret Bullen. His nephew (by marriage) has just sent me a copy of a tape he compiled of conversations with my grandfather in the 1970's, and again in 1984. Listening to it got me curious... so I did a search & found this site. And now I'm really curious! Especially since the names 'Christopher' and 'Alfred' both appear more than once. Carol

Hi Bill,
Don't wonder, that you see our comments here on this side. Since we met you in Albuquerque at the Balloon Fiesta for the first time in 1991, I'm looking in every city in the USA into the Phonebook, if I find any Pamplins. You know, that we are traveling a lot in the United States and I found many Pamplin's. Hope to hear from you. Maybe you could come to Europe and search for more Pamplin Family members.
I'm not sure what I am looking for but I hope you may be able to help. Upon receiving a copy of my husbands great-grandparents marriage certificate we found that she signed it as Mrs. Pamplin (first name Josie). I have done a little research trying to find out who he may have been even though there would be no blood ties. I ran across an index for Arkansas marriages 1851-1900 which listed a Robert A Pamplin wed to Josie Bristoe Feb. 22, 1890 in Sebastian County, Ark. This corresponds with other dates I have on her, but we always though her last name was Aldridge thus my dilemma. Does anyone have any records of these two people. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.
We have record of a Robert A. Pamplin born in Arkansas in 1869 (he would have been 21 years old in 1890). His parents: John H. & Sarah Pamplin. If you have corroborating information, we most likely have a match.

I was looking up some old Ghost Towns and found the Shaniko in Oregon. After reading some of the info. on the web page I saw Dr. Robert B. Pamplin, Jr's name and a little light came on. I am now living in Leavenworth, WA. but was born and raised in Dinwiddie County in Petersburg, Va. Our farm is only about 2 miles from The Pamplin Civil War park and you can walk to it if you cut through the back of the park. (What a small World) I have been to your park many times and last year got to see the new addition. It is very nice. When I was a little girl I use to go to the Tutor Home when Mrs. Gehrow lived there. Our church would have tea parties in the back yard. I am 65 so this all happened in the 50's. We look forward to visit the Hotel in Shaniko. Thanks for all the history your family has preserved for the future. Ann Wilson Davis.
I am enjoying reading and learning all about the Pamplins. My grandmother was Nora E. Pamplin and my great grandmother on my fathers side was Cynthia A. Pamplin. They were third Pamplin cousins. One was related to Wesley Allen Pamplin and one to Armistead Pamplin. I am proud to be related to such a neat family!
I also wanted to mention that my Pamplins belong to the VA. to Bucksnort (Mimosa), Tennessee) branch. Also that we in my family breed, raise, train and show American Morgan horses and American saddle bred horses. In some archive newspaper clippings I read that a Mr.. Pamplin had lost one of his best mares and was offering a reward. The breeds that we raise were used by the federal government and in the civil war. Anyone know any anecdotal or historical records about any of the Pamplins raising horses? Particularly Armistead and Wesley Allen Pamplin? Thanks and hello to all the Pamplins! Kathi & Craig
I have really enjoyed this site. My great great grandmother was Nancy "Nannie" Elizabeth Pamplin Spain. Her parents were John Robert Pamplin, Sr. and Elizabeth Ann B. Clark. This is the only information that I have. Would love to have more.
I love Pamplin Historical Park so much my son, hopefully, will be getting married there next year. I think it would be wonderful to marry in a place where your ancestry is recorded and remembered.
Thank you for doing all that you do and continue to do.

Hello, I've visited your web site before, but had not found this section. The site is great especially having located others interested in the U.K. side of the family. I am of the understanding, that I am a descendant of Maggie (Margaret? )Francis Lygon (of Southern Georgia/Northern Florida, U.S.A), who was of the lineage of William Lygon, Earl of Beauchamps. Does ANYONE of the extended Family , have any record of the Family-Tree they could share with me ?
I recently met some flamenco gypsies from Marseilles, France who spoke French, Spanish, & remnants of the Romani language (the language of the gypsies). Since Pamplona is considered a Basque region is it generally thought that the people from Pamplona were Basque...with their own Basque language...& could they have been related to the Roma gypsies? What were the ethnic origins of the Pamplona people?
Just went to Pamplin Civil War Park so I thought I'd check out this site! My grandfather was Claude Pamplin, Robert B. Pamplin, Sr.'s brother. I am married with two young sons. It is very interesting to see the names of all the family members from around the world!

Hi to all. We are the happy to have found this website and learn some family history. My grandmother (now deceased) was the daughter of William Blackstone Pamplin & Rozella Johnson. She was raised in Pittsburgh, PA on the North Side in a small community called Manchester. She was born in 1928 and she passed in 1996. The only living sibling of William Blackstone Pamplin is Virginia Pamplin-Moffit who still resides in Pittsburgh PA. We would like to hear from any family members who may have known Rosella Pamplin or her brother William Pamplin (AKA Buddy). We would also like to know more information on the family history as well as information on relatives living in or around Texas. We hope to hear from you soon. Thanks!

And who said 'Pamplin' was an unusual name...?
Just a quick note, does any one know how when and why our name originated? There is a Spanish town named Pamplona which is named after general Pompey - Julius Caesar's cousin (?). Is this were the name comes from? I have suspicions that the name originated in Spain and people brought the name to Britain in the 16 hundreds. True??? YOU TELL ME! Am only a novice! Who was the first British Pamplin? Any info you can supply will be greatly welcomed. Ta

Greetings Relatives, I am a black Pamplin. I understand that interracial relationships were probably taboo (in the 1800's and early 1900's), nonetheless, I wish to find out any information on the earliest known black Pamplin's or the white Pamplin's that may have owned slaves. My apologies if this subject matter is offensive to anyone, that is not my intention. (Please see NOTE BELOW)
My father's family is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Anyone with information, feel free to email me. Thank you for the site, it's very, very helpful and interesting.
I replied to April Pamplin on July 28, 2002 & encouraged her to contact other Pamplins of African American heritage through this site. No apologies are necessary regarding this subject: We encourage Pamplins of any ethnic heritage to visit this site and will publish a section dedicated to those Pamplins if there is enough interest.

Just for a message to anyone who is on my side of the link, that might be or is researching the American Indian in us. Please e-mail me. I am trying to find the connection of the American Indian, and Tribes, and maybe if anyone had Tribal rights. I have heard many stories to believe that there is American Indian in me also, and that my G-Grandmother was to be full-blooded to 1/2 Chippewa or Cherokee Indian, and to have had rights to Indian money, but never accepted it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Donna Dahl Tudor, Steilacoom, WA (originally Bonanza, OR) Chaplesscowgirl@aol.com
Thanks for your comments, Donna! Please encourage other Pamplin relatives to visit our web site.

Thanks for your support,

Well, lets just say that I am surprised to find my name has so many connections. I am from Ontario, Canada, and I have found that we don't have a lot of relatives outside my immediate family in the area. It gives me a sense of pride to see that there are so many of us out there.
I am requesting my name to be added to the Pamplin and family connections page. I really just stumbled upon this page while surfing the internet, however, it really caught my attention and I am still intrigued by the number of people I share a surname with. My grandfather's name is William Pamplin, he married Jean Sault, their kids are: Gary, William Jr., Michael, Franklin, George, Brian, Helen Mary Diane, Kimberly Lynn and Michelle. We have relatives in Springvale, Ontario, and I believe their fathers name is Orry Pamplin. Southern Ontario is the main area that we come from, any help you could give would be appreciated.
Thanks for your entry! Your entry here will help others to contact you in Canada. Remember to encourage other Pamplin relatives to visit our web site.

Hi Very interested in your Web site. My mother is a Pamphilon, we have done some family research on the family name and believed it to have come from Pamphylia in southern Turkey. Some of the Pamphilons moved to Spain and I had wondered if they had moved to Pamplona. I was interested to find out about the Pamphilons in Essex, on my mothers side my great grandfather and his family originated in Essex. I hadn't thought that there were many Pamphilons around apart from my direct family, who are now living in the Whitstable and Croydon areas.
Am interested in making contact with anyone searching for information on Josie Pamplin married to Zachary Adam Bowen we can exchange info. Love your web site.
I need to have a copy of the Pamplin books. I have started the South African Pamplin Family Project. We need a Pamplin Family Project in south Africa as research is going on for some time now.

Hi! I am looking for Jennings genealogy, as it is connected to the British royal family. There is no doubt about this connection - just a lack of good information. AND there is still a royal subterfuge/con game going on - just as there was to get my ancestors OUT of England in order to gain the crown!!!!
I was born Pamplin am very interested in our family tree in South Africa. My great great uncle Geoffrey Pamplin who died recently on 16 March 2003 at the age of 79 started with a book on Pamplin's in South Africa. I hope to complete this book and dedicate it to him. Should anybody wish to get in contact with me regarding Pamplin's in South Africa, I would welcome that.

Wow, it looks like someone put forth a substantial amount of effort putting together your family tree. So how long has it been since you've made a trip out to the R2 Ranch in Central Oregon Mr. Pamplin? I think one of my relatives works for you running the place (Jimmy McDonald). You've purchased a nice piece of land over there in Central Oregon. I hope you've taken enough time away from your schedule to enjoy your land. It's as beautiful as Oregon gets. Well, I should probably return to my studies. You have to love finals week. If you get the time, thanks for reading note. P.S. nice website!
Please note: The Pamplin Family & Connections web site does not offer contact information for individual Pamplin family members.

I am 5' 6", bald like my Dad. His family lived in Soho LONDON.

Hail all ye Pamplins, we will unite and rule the world!!!
I was named after Julia Pamplin who was the daughter of a plantation owner in Virginia. Julia was disowned by her father when she ran off with a showboat captian, so the story goes... I visited the Pamplin Estate as a child, about 1963, and the only thing I recall was the family church(on the estate) which had been burned to the ground. My maternal grandparents first met in Virginia where they lived. My granmother was Mary Emagene Mays, a redhead, and my maternal grandfather was Urban Davis Franklin(he had one arm removed as a child when he contracted gangrene as the result of a poorly set cast). My maternal grandmother was born around 1888 or 89 and my grandfather was born in 1894, both in Virginia. My grandfather graduated from Virginia Polytechnique Institute. He held a Ph.D.degree in animal husbandry and later studied animal diseases.
I visited the Pamplin Estate as a child. I was told the story that Julia Pamplin, daughter of a plantation owner, ran away with a showboat captain and later became disowned by her father. This part of my family came from Pamplin Va. My grandfather was Urban Davis Franklin and my grandmother was Mary Emmagene (?) Mays(?). I believe the Pamplin's came from my grandmothers side but don't quote me on that. Can anyone provide further elucidation?
Message to Julia Vaughne sent 2/26/2004. We find references to Julia Pamplin's lineage in our archives, but cannot establish a connection without additional details. We are awaiting additional information from Ms. Vaughne before proceeding.

Hi, I can trace my Pamplin family to Virginia. My grandmother, my dad's mom's maiden name is Pamplin. We trace our family to King Edward 3, and to King William. His daughter married my grandfather Robert D'roos. We have a lot of French, English and Scottish. I have all the papers in my room. Amastad, married my grandmother in Virginia in the seventeen hundreds, and have proof of my history. Who can I talk to in England to see if my family, and I own anything. My family had castles. They were barons, and dukes, and all. Thanks for any help.

Brown's children was N. Agnes Brown (b.1845) and she is my great grandmother's mother. N. Agnes Brown married Geo. W. Ferguson. Well, I got a little more than I intended to list but I would appreciate any help on the Sallie Pamplin line.

Hi, I was fascinated to find this site devoted to the Pamplin Family & Connections. I live in the U.K. & my maiden name was Pamplin. My father's name was Ronald b.1929 d.1975 & his father was Robert Horace Marshall Pamplin. There are a lot of groups of Pamplins dotted around the U.K. - quite a few in Essex, London & Kent and I had no idea of the extent of research that's been done by yourselves in the U.S.; we really have very little information about our genealogy. What is the country of origin of the Pamplin (or its derivatives) name?

I've been searching for a while to find more Pamplins. The only Pamplins I know of are the ones here in Muskogee that I'm related to. I never would have guessed there were Pamplins from all over like New Zealand and South Africa. I've read endless pages of things about Pamplin's history to find out more of where the Pamplin name started. The Pamplin books have been a great help from what I've read. Its great to know there are more Pamplins out there.
My mother and sister are both namesakes of Julia Pamplin. My grandmother was Mary Mays married to Urban Davis Franklin. I was just looking to see if there was any info on my grandparents when I found this web site.
